The only thing I would add is that the lie originated not from the political world but from the academy itself, specifically postmodernist literary criticism. Yes, this was rooted in Marxism, but the source was "within the house" not outside of it.

Postmodernism's key invention is a (quite valid) skepticism of how accurately words can ever describe the real world. Its fatal flaw is the (totally absurd) claim that words create the world. Claiming "transwomen are women" is nonsensical under Aristotle; refusing to acknowledge it is violence under postmodernism.

Nearly everything else you describe in the academy flows from this.

Yes to much of that. The part I reflected on and find most disturbing is the state of our institutions in the West, the inversion of feeling and moral ideal with truth, and the fall of the most important institutions (the universities) that are to forward the best of epistemology and epistemological methods.
