Exactly!

+1 on the Taylor Swift piece especially.

There will come a day when Sam justifies the Israeli occupation and eventual ethnic cleansing.

That piece isn't "brutally honest"; it's just standard liberal anti-political bullshit.

Israeli support for EVERTYTHING the IDF is doing in Gaza and the West Bank is overwhelming. That includes shoving things up the asses of Palestinians brutalized by Israeli soldiers.

Sam also tends to call this clearcut case of genocide/ethnic cleansing/mass murder a "war".

It's not a war. Unless of course, the genre is satire.

no there won’t

Michael's avatar

Good to hear. So stop calling it a "war". It isn't a war.

Unless you're looking for a job with some American bureaucracy for "War on Things".

what’s your badge number mr language cop

Michael's avatar

ooooh… look who’s pretending he doesn’t get the impact in the real world of renaming a genocide a “war”…

fuck off, little phony

1) i have, in fact, referred to what’s happening in gaza as a genocide. there is also a war. for reasons that should be obvious genocide usually takes place during wartime. you are very, very stupid

2) zero. the real world impact of the word choices i make is zero

Michael's avatar

There is no war. There is no war. There is no war.

Calling it a “war” is playing softball with murderous goons committing genocide with glee.

And no, not stupid.

There is no war.

If only Sam were wiser, like you. Then rather than grieve over the depredations of both sides, he'd be openly cheering on the extermination of his own people.

Michael's avatar

Very good people on both sides, I'm sure.

My god, is there anything more morally idiotic than this way of looking at genocide?

Eric Mader's avatar

Here's the actual question: "Is there a more morally idiotic way of looking at this war?"

I think there is. Evidently.
